YOU'VE GOT QUESTIONS 🙋🏼‍♀️WE'VE GOT ANSWERS 🥳

What is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is an approved treatment to temporarily improve wrinkles in the forehead, glabella (also known as the “11 lines”) and crow’s feet for both men and women.

How Does BOTOX® Work?

BOTOX® is injected into the muscles in the affected areas to prevent repeated muscle movements and squinting. BOTOX® can begin to set in anywhere between 3-7 days. BOTOX® can take up to 2 weeks to see full results. Results may last 3 to 4 months.

How Long Will BOTOX® Take?

The actual injection process takes up to 10 minutes and feels like small pinches.

Will Botox® Help with Teeth Grinding?

Another use for Botox® is for teeth grinding, called bruxism. We target the masseter muscle in the jaw (responsible for closing the jaw for chewing) to prevent the signals responsible for grinding, clenching, and contracting.

Can Botox® Improve the Appearance of Lips without Adding Volume?

Yes! The Lip Flip procedure is a particularly popular Botox application at our facility! This nonsurgical procedure provides a fuller appearance to the lips without adding additional volume by targeting the corners of the mouth and edges of the lips. This causes the lip to naturally lift and appear slightly fuller than normal. A Lip Flip is also a popular choice when correcting the look of smokers’ lines!

Can Botox® Help with Excess Sweating?

Yes! A common procedure we perform with Botox® is to treat hyperhidrosis (excess sweating)! Botox® is injected to target and treat the nerves responsible for excessive sweating. This procedure will stop targeted sweat glands from producing too much sweat.

What is Micro-Botox® and How is it Different?

Micro-Botox®, often referred to as “Baby Botox®,” is a procedure that provides a subtle change in the face that creates a smoother, more youthful appearance. Unlike traditional Botox® injections, minimal amounts of Botox are strategically injected around the client’s face, often done with 50% less Botox® than standard procedures! This treatment is particularly popular for clients who are new to Botox® or those who are seeking to prevent the formation of wrinkles in the future.

What is The Recovery Time After Treatment?

There may be some slight swelling in the area treated. This will subside in about 20-30 minutes. Staying upright after treatment for 4 hours is advised. Performing any tasks that raise the temperature of the body after treatment is also not advised (i.e. exercising or tanning).

What Are Fillers?

Fillers are injected into your skin to resolve wrinkles. By adding volume to the nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines (from the mouth to the chin), lips, around the lips, and cheeks, wrinkles can be smoothed away.

What Are the Different Types of Fillers?

Juvederm Ultra is a great product for giving the lips a noticeably fuller appearance and is great for addressing the nasolabial folds, which stretch from the corners of the mouth to the corners of the nose.

Juvederm Ultra Plus  is similar to Juvederm Ultra but lasts longer and provides results that last for nine to twelve months.

Revanesse Versa can help improve fullness in your lips.

Revance RHA can help with your cheeks, nasolabial folds, and lips.

Volbella is used to smooth out the fine lines around the lips and also for a “subtle lip enhancement".

Vollure is designed to tackle aesthetic issues like lines and wrinkles around the mouth and nose, and reduces the appearance of these common aesthetic issues by filling them for a more youthful appearance.

Voluma is the ideal product for treating hollowness in the cheeks by helping to restore lost facial volume underneath the surface of the skin, lifting the cheeks.

Volux is the first hyaluronic acid-based injectable filler approved by the FDA to specifically target the jawline by defining it with more structure and lift capacity than any other filler.

How Long Does a Filler Treatment Take?

The injection process takes about 15 minutes and can feel like a slight pinch. A topical numbing cream is applied before the injection to make the treatment more comfortable.

What is the Recovery for a Filler Treatment?

There may be some slight swelling in the treated area that can take a few days to a few weeks to subside. It is best to refrain from any medications such as Aleve and Ibuprofen that thin the blood at least a week prior to your treatment. There is also a risk for bruising after your treatment. Arnica gel or tablets (available in any health food or vitamin store) before and/or after treatment can help prevent bruising.
